You know those few items that you absolutely cannot live without? Maybe that’s a little extreme, but there are definitely a few pieces of my morning routine that make getting ready a lot easier. Since my skin tends to be oily in all the wrong places trying to wear eye shadow was a nightmare. After a couple of hours my eye shadow would start to crease on my lid and I would have to wipe most of it away with my finger. Ugh. Well, look no further Urban Decay’s eye primer will not let you down. I have never used a product that lasts as long as this one. I have done my eye make up, gone out and danced my little heart out, forgot to wash my face and wake up in the morning with all my eye makeup in place. The primer I use is matte, but they also have another favorite of mine that is a light gold shimmer which is a nice base for eye shadows.
Don’t even get my started on my Stila liquid eye pen. I honestly can’t live without it, even with my eye primer I am one of those people that even with my hands tied behind my back I would still be trying to rub the corners of my eyes. So regular pencil eye liner is not my friend. The Stila liquid eye pen stays put even if you run your finger over it, it’s the best!
Finally, my mascara – shown in the picture is my second favorite mascara by Lancome called Hypnose Drama. (My absolute favorite is Better than Sex by TooFaced) This mascara lasts me a long time because you don’t need much to plump up those eye lashes. If you are someone who has any kind of fake eyelashes or extensions I do not recommend this mascara (for those of you naughty girls that put mascara over your fake lashes), this mascara will clump very easily if you are not careful to wipe away any excess from the brush before applying.
